São Paulo, October 13th, 2026 – Kavak Brasil is advancing its one-stop-shop strategy with the launch of Kavak Seguros, developed in partnership with Split Risk, Brazil's largest MGA (Managing General Agents) enabler. The new product is now integrated into the customer purchase journey. Plans can include 24-hour roadside assistance, collision, theft, robbery, fire and third-party liability coverage, depending on the coverage selected.

Customers can now leave the store fully protected. "Kavak Seguros offers different coverage options for those who want it. It's a natural complement to our purchase journey, which already includes financing, documentation and maintenance packages. Everything integrated, with each customer choosing what they need," said José Ribeiro, Country Manager of Kavak Brasil.

The insurance market is undergoing a significant transformation, with companies shifting from distribution channels to controlling the entire insurance experience. "Our role is to provide the technological, regulatory and operational infrastructure that makes this possible," said Pedro Pires, founder of Split Risk.

Kavak Seguros simplifies the policy issuance process with quotes based on vehicle data—license plate number, postal code and usage type—enabling policy issuance in minutes without credit score analysis or driver history check. This approach significantly expands insurance access to app-based drivers and first-time insurance buyers, with acceptance criteria focused on the vehicle and owner's registered region.

Customers who purchase vehicles through Kavak's platform and contract Kavak Seguros are exempt from vehicle inspection, as all Kavak vehicles undergo comprehensive inspection and reconditioning before sale. This represents another step in the one-stop-shop strategy, where customers find everything they need for their vehicle. Currently, Kavak Seguros is available exclusively to customers purchasing used vehicles directly from Kavak.

White-label technology powers rapid deployment

The operation is built on Split Risk's proprietary platform, developed using the Insurance as a Service (IaaS) model. The solution operates as a 100% white-label platform, enabling partners to create their own branded insurance operations without developing insurance infrastructure. Key technological features include a proprietary SaaS platform, native integration with purchase and financing systems, fully automated underwriting processes, and complete insurance portfolio management in an integrated environment.

The speed of implementation underscores the platform's capabilities: within 60 days of signing the partnership agreement, Kavak was already issuing policies. "This model significantly reduces implementation time and allows companies to seamlessly incorporate insurance into their portfolio as part of the consumer experience," Pires noted.

From distribution to product ownership

The partnership reflects a growing trend in Brazil's insurance market, where companies are creating proprietary operations rather than simply distributing traditional insurance products. This shift enables organizations to design products aligned with their purchase journey, control the entire customer experience and strengthen their brand presence in the insurance segment.

Kavak now operates its insurance offering under its own visual identity, making the insurance brand an integral part of the relationship built with consumers throughout the vehicle purchase experience.
